Nice chapter very straight forward but only two things really caught my attention, and i’m going to break it in two parts. So this review should not be long.
The first part of the chapter, very Sabo-centric, and I’m not complaining at all. We see Sabo owning the marines. I mean those fodder marines are very easy to deal with. They are really weak. They don’t even have basic haki. I wonder what the hell are they doing in Shin Sekai in the first place? But enough about them, it’s about Sabo. The guy is crushing bazookas with his fingers……sorry his talons. What I actually like about Sabo thus far, is that he was already an amazing fighter without the mera mera, having some powerful techniques. So he was beating them without using his devil fruit powers. Like I said I wasn’t impressed when he was beating the fodder marines but when defeated a vice-admiral without any effort at all…….I was like damnnnnnmm. He did that without using the mera mera. We knew he was going to be strong, but his physical strength is enormous. Crushing an human skull is as easy for him as crushing an egg. Do you know how easy it is to break an egg ? And now Bastille is out of the picture. He’s going for Fujitora now. He seems very confident facing an admiral. So is Sabo admiral level or above admiral level? We hope that this fight will be just as awesome as we hope it is.
Now the second part. Luffy is still running, I mean riding Ucy to go to the palace entrance. He finds out that he’s actually behind everyone, that the Colosseum’s group found a faster shorter way. Cavendish (cabbage) is opening the way for Luffy. I don’t know why but Luffy doesn’t want that. He wants to be the first to arrive there so he accepts the offer of the Funk Brothers to take a shortcut. Since the tournament I didn’t like the Funk Brothers, so I found it a little bit to convenient that there was a shortcut just there while he wanted to pass everyone. It looks like I was right of being worried as Doflamingo was waiting there as Luffy and Law found a dead end. This is a great cliffhanger. I mean it looks like it should be the beginning of a new fight against Doflamingo. And Law is still being handcuffed with kairoseki.
My questions for this chapter. Are the Funk Brothers working with Doflamingo ? Or are they after the ransom ? Is this the real Doflamingo ? We now know he can do some kind of string clone. If it is the real Doflamingo, why the ambush ? You know he’s coming to “see” you.
I liked this chapter, the Sabo thing got me hyped, and I want to see what will happen next. The Luffy Law vs Doflamingo got me intrigued. So I’m giving this chapter a rating of 8/10. Yeah bite me, I liked it. And I know concerning One Piece I’m always a little bias.
Well see y’all next chapter.
